End-of-support for Java 8
Please be aware that HCL Launch will no longer support Java 8 starting June, 2022. We request customers to upgrade to later versions of Java.
JVM management and distribution
You can upload JVMs to the HCL Launch. You can view and manage them in a dedicated page. Once uploaded to the server, JVMs can be distributed to agents via the web UI or CLI. The agent automatically upgrades to the provided JVM.
Configure webhooks that define a payload (that can utilize Apache Velocity Template code to pull in the relevant HCL Launch object code), URL, and event type such as Process Started, Process Success / Failure, Approval Success / Failure, etc.
BMC Compuware ISPW plug-in
A plug-in that integrates ISPW with HCL Launch for the use in Mainframe deployments.
End-of-life for JMS Communication
Starting with V188.8.131.52, agents and relays that use the JMS communication protocol will no longer be able to connect to HCL Launch. Agents and Relays will need to be migrated to the Web communication type in order to connect.
JAVA_OPTS configuration for source-control / non-Groovy plug-ins
Previously, it was possible to set the JVM options for agents, agent relays, Launch servers, and automation plug-ins, but not for the source-control plug-ins. Users can now configure JAVA_OPTS for source-control and non-Groovy plug-ins. Setting the custom JVM parameters for source-control plug-ins can help you in debugging and performance improvements.
