Preventing plugins installs in unsupported server versions#

Plugin versions incompatible with HCL™ Accelerate are prevented from installing.

Based on the your installed version of HCL Accelerate, plugins not compatible with that version are prevented from installing in the product. If the installed version of HCL Accelerate is equal or greater than the product version that the plugin supports, the installation of the plugin is possible.

Notifications for incompatible plugins versions prevented from installation are displayed in each of the following three scenarios:

Scenario 1: Installing plugin

  1. On the Settings page, click Integrations.
  2. In the Integrations page, click the Plugins tab.
  3. Locate the required plugin in the list and click Install.
  4. The error Plugin <name> is only supported on HCL Accelerate versions equal to or greater than x.x.x is displayed on the right side of the Status field for that plugin.

Scenario 2: Loading plugin

  1. On the Settings page, click Integrations.
  2. In the Integrations page, click the Plugins tab.
  3. Click Load plugin.
  4. In the Load a custom plugin window, click in the Plugin Image field and enter the required plugin.
  5. Click Submit.
  6. The error Plugin <name> is only supported on HCL Accelerate versions equal to or greater than x.x.x is displayed in the Load a custom plugin window.

Scenario 3: Upgrading plugin

  1. On the Settings page, click Integrations.
  2. In the Integrations page, click the Integrations tab.
  3. Locate the required plugin and then click on the overflow menu and select Upgrade.
  4. In the Status field for the plugin, Upgrade failed is displayed.
